The Smoky Mountains Welcome You

Your Home Away From Home

Our Story

Birds Creek Campground is a lovely, peaceful gem, nestled in a beautiful green meadow, on the banks of Birds Creek. Inspired by the surrounding landscape, Birds Creek Campground was designed to make your visit a unique, comfortable and fun experience.

The campground is open year-round and offers the following accommodations:

Our LOCATION in the Smoky Mountains is phenomenal: 7 miles from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville, in eastern TN. All entrances to the most visited national park in the nation, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, are only a short drive away (Gatlinburg, Wears Valley, & Townsend).

Our team knows that traveling can be exhausting, and will do their best to make your stay easy and satisfying. Take a look at our website to find out more about our services and amenities, and get in touch with us if there’s anything we can help you with. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Amenities

The majority of our campground guests are extended-stay campers, amongst whom are doctors, nurses, and other professionals. The campground is quiet, peaceful abode for individuals and families. The campground itself is a tranquil little valley of its own, isolated from the crowds and the tourists, and a place many of our guests refer to as "zen-like" and "refreshing". Come and join us! We minimize light pollution at night so everyone can enjoy the amazing night skies.

For all of you avid fishermen, fishing near Birds Creek Campground is some of the best in the eastern United States. There are excellent smallmouth, bream, rock bass, and trout waters just a 5-15 minute drive from the campground. The Smoky Mountains National Park has hundreds of miles of pristine trout streams, some with trout population densities as high as 2000 trout per mile. The upper levels of these streams contain the beautiful Native Brook Trout (different than brook trout caught in the western U.S. The lower ends of the streams have Rainbow and Brown trout. Spinning tackle and fly tackle both work well in the area. If you would like info on some local fishing spots, give us a call and we'll be happy to share with you our local favorites.
